Escape to the cool mountain air and peaceful surrounds of Rice’s Log Cabins, located in the beautiful Bunya Mountains. Set across two private acres, our five comfortable cottage-style cabins provide clean, affordable and self-contained accommodation in one of Queensland’s most distinctive natural settings.

Each cabin offers a quiet place to relax while still being conveniently located within walking distance of the main attractions, walking tracks and facilities of the Bunya Mountains village. Surrounded by tall trees and ancient rainforest, the property feels wonderfully secluded from the activity nearby, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquillity, wildlife and fresh mountain air. The cabins are ideal for group bookings for up to five families/couples, but still provide privacy for single bookings as well.

All five cabins are self-contained with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Guests should bring: linen (sheets, pillowcases and towels), food and drinks, warm clothes (the climate is cool throughout the year in the mountains), games, books and a torch.

Please note: Rice’s Log Cabins are situated in Bunya Mountains National Park and therefore we can not accommodate pets. There is no fuel outlet / service station on the mountain, so top-up on your way here. The Bunya Tavern, Bunya’s General Store and Poppies on the Hill cafe offers essential groceries, takeaway food and coffee, gifts and souvenirs and a selection of alcohol and drinks.
